Students march in Watchung Founders Day centennial parade
Ridge Racers NJ represented Apex STEM Education Inc. at Watchung’s Founders Day parade — connecting competitive STEM with civic engagement.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Ridge Racers NJ joined the borough of Watchung for Founders Day — part of the community’s centennial celebration.
The team marched in the parade down Valley Road at the invitation of Mayor Ronald Jubin, representing Watchung after a strong season that included third place at STEM Racing USA National Finals.
The day included the Mayor’s Regatta on Best Lake and the opening of a 1976 time capsule — letters from children 50 years ago about school, teachers, pets, and siblings. Students connected that history to the idea that communities invest in young people across generations.
